It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) website.
ADT ended 2009 on a record-breaking note by number of TEUs handled in the year,
and we commenced 2010 equally positively by adding ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 to
the suite of certification already held. This is a reflection of the commitment
made by management to deliver world-class services to the customers of ADT and
visitors to the capital.
Visitors to the city of Abu Dhabi, ‘Cruise Tourism’ to be more precise, witnessed unprecedented
growth during the recent season and along with our strategic partners we are already gearing up for Autumn;
an increase in the number of passengers expecting us to deliver the highest levels of safety and security
but with minimal infringement upon their holiday experience calls for ever evolving practices within ADT,
close collaboration with other government agencies and lots of behind the scenes preparation before the
first holiday-maker disembarks in October.
How do we keep on improving? We are driven by our employees and their imagination,
we encourage the sharing of ideas and are committed to a working environment that attracts,
motivates and recognizes high performance.
In 1969, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan established Mina Zayed with basic port facilities and the
progress of the people of the United Arab Emirates in mind; today we operate and manage an Internationally
recognized terminal, supporting customers by developing online systems, increasing automation of services,
and handling the diverse cargoes inbound for a small part in the grand scheme of ‘Plan Abu Dhabi 2030’.
We believe our success has all the same ingredients as the original recipe; ethical growth for the benefit of the country,
its people and you, the valued customer.
