CEO's Message:
On behalf of all of us at Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT), I would like to welcome you to our new website.
Whether you are an existing customer, or just interested to learn more about ADT, this is our platform to share with you all that you would like to know about our organisation; from our diversified range of port services and our partners, to our management team and future ambitions.
ADT is the operator of the first semi-automated and most technologically advanced terminal in the Middle East, Khalifa Port Container Terminal (KPCT), and our team is demonstrating its commitment to servicing the shipping and port industry at the highest levels using the smartest tools and solutions. Commercial operations at KPCT commenced on September 1st 2012, and with the project phase having reached fruition, ADT is now able to transition container traffic currently destined for the existing facility at Mina Zayed to KPCT.
Attracting direct main line calls to KPCT provides benefits to everyone. It will lower the total cost of logistics for importers and exporters; improve speed and access to overseas markets for our customers; offer shipping lines the opportunity to increase market share in one of the fastest growing markets in the region, and at the same time will generate a multitude of spin-off businesses. We believe that KPCT’s ability to create long term capacity for the container business will not only benefit the economies of Abu Dhabi and the UAE alike, but also allow ADT to service other countries in the region.
There are a number of people responsible for making these goals a reality and I would like to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude.
